My photographic approach is ordinary: a life notebook. I photograph my loved ones, those I meet, the places where I am engaged, where I live, where I pass through.
To look at, not to lose, to show.
But the event, in history, is the bearer of what accomplishes it. The real can express what exceeds it: once framed and fixed in a snapshot, and without ever detaching itself from the lived moment, it can be received as a symbol, lead further, from what happened factually, « historically ».
Its reading could be moral, philosophical, spiritual, mystical (some elders said
« anagogical » ; Artaud, about Van Gogh’s Wheatfield with Crows, said
« lavish augurs »).
Where are we going? Doesn’t Earth tell Heaven?
